"silence"

At the risk of sounding like a starstruck adolescent,

I am head over heels in awe (and love) of (and with) Kevin Spacey.

Busting over half a grand for a very sudden and impromptu trip to catch The Bridge Project's take on Richard III was wholly worth every Malaysian cent.

Zany, quick-witted and dry-humoured, the fellow is a brilliant actor.

Yes I am turned on by brilliance and genius.

"I find politicians fucking funny."
Pause.
Clasps mouth agape with a sudden comical realisation of the age group present, and with eyes ablazing (not with suddenness so much though I suspect, but more so an element of comedy which he is so gifted with and yet is not what he does transcend so often in his commercial movies).

"That's a slightly silly question given that I am nothing like a murderous bastard." - on being asked whether he bears any personality resemblances to the title character he plays.

"I don't sit in a corner and become Richard. I don't think beforehand. I just get in the seat at the start of the show, and I let the character take me from there. And sometimes it takes us to very interesting places." - on techniques used in playing the role.

"It is not for the applause, not for the cheer - it is for the silence.

When it is pindrop silence and you can sense all these people around getting the ideas.. to me, that silence is the greatest sound." - in what is the best thing about acting, I think.
